About Us

The Lib Tech department upholds the mission of Currey Ingram Academy by providing access to information and technology resources for the school community. By providing effective professional development, pedagogical support, information resources, customized databases, assistive technology, and efficient infrastructure and tech support, we foster the individualized integration of modern learning tools and information skills into the school curriculum. We educate families, teachers and students about digital character so that regardless of how technology evolves, students will come to use it in a positive manner. By promoting information literacy we instill critical and ethical thinking and the skills necessary to find and manipulate credible, relevant information. We continue to develop a collection for diverse learners to promote a love of reading and lifelong learning. We provide, model, encourage and support the adoption and development of cutting edge programs and educational tools that foster creativity, communication, and collaboration.
